If your goal is to drive people to visit your website, sign up for an event, or shop a promotion, you will likely be using the Traffic Task.
This task works differently from standard content creation. Instead of asking influencers to film a new video, you are usually asking them to reshare your promotional material with a direct link attached.
How Traffic Tasks Work
The most common format for Traffic Tasks is the Instagram Story with Link Sticker.
The Content
The influencer shares an image you provide (such as a sales poster) or reshapes a post from your Instagram feed.
The Link
They place an interactive Link Sticker on top of the image.
The Result
When followers tap the sticker, they are sent directly to your chosen webpage.
Step 1: Provide the Destination URL
This is the most critical part of the brief. You must specify the exact page you want people to land on.
Best practice: Use a specific page
Do not link to your homepage if the visitor still needs to search for the promotion.
Good:
• www.brand.com/summer-sale-2024
• www.brand.com/new-product-launch
Bad:
• www.brand.com
If users need to look for the deal, they will drop off.
Step 2: Provide the Creative Asset
Since influencers are resharing your content, you need to provide the material.
You have two options:
Option A: Reshare your social media post
If you already announced the promotion on your Instagram, ask influencers to reshapes that post.
Action:
Paste the link to your specific Instagram post in the brief.
Option B: Upload a digital poster
If you have a banner or promotional graphic, upload it to the campaign.
Action:
Upload the JPG or PNG under Reference Photos.
Instruct influencers to screenshot or download the image and post it to their Story.
Step 3: Define the Call to Action (CTA)
The CTA is the text that appears on the Link Sticker. Keep it short and action oriented.

Specify your preferred CTA in the instructions so influencers stay consistent.
